If you think you are experienced enough and want to take on a challenge, you can always enter yourself in a fishing tournament. Fishing tournaments are held all around the world and there are usually great prizes offered as rewards to the winners.

First you will need to get a listing of the different fishing tournaments going on in your area, and elsewhere if you are willing to travel. Keep in mind that a lot of fishing tournaments will require you to use particular gear so you will need to check over the rules and ensure you are abiding by them. No matter what fishing tournaments you may enter, be sure to treat the others with respect. You never know when you are going to run into them again.

You want to set a good reputation for yourself in the fishing world. Fishing tournaments can be difficult even for the most seasoned and experienced fishermen and it takes a lot of practice and patience to be a great fisherman. Do not despair if you do not win your first few tournaments. Once you start to get more experience and get the hang of it you are sure to place in some tournaments.
